Starts very spicy, absolutely no dryness. The spicyness takes a short break in the finish, but is back in the aftertaste. Well balanced. Interesting beer! motelpogo (4394), Plzen, Czech Republic

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 22, 2006 Nearly gushing; gold coloured beer under small white head, fast gone. Pure malts nose, bit of (dried) grass, spent grains, bit of greenmalts and drying hay. Again a very malty and grassy taste - like being in an active brewery, breathing and tasting. Light MF, but excellent in its style, quite refreshing. Individual notes are too low, I realise. This beer is nowhere spectacular, but just terrific in its class. Whence the name "Eisbier", however? Thus extra points here - thanks, Sebastian.
