Aroma is fruity and cereal malts. Taste is complex; lot of intermingling flavors. Cloves, banana and honey are forefront followed by notes of caramel and leather. Moderate hop presence that balance out the sweetness nicely. Finish is a little bit astringent. Overall, I am impressed. Very drinkable. MrGGen (243), Italy

Flavor is slightly fruity and with a little bit of iced tea but is actually just plain awful. Infected? My first drain pour in a long time. badlizard (2386), Berkeley, California, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 14, 2009 Strange jar and odd label. Was not cheap at close to A$20 for the jar. Orange colour with little bit of a head and low carbonation. Very chewy grains and a disguised alcohol content. Mmmm.... chewy as Homer Simpson would say. gte620v (29), Georgia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 27, 2009 750ml bottle. Cloudy golden color, thick head. I have had this beer a few times and I remember liking it more in the past. This time the taste seems too wheaty and lacked the fruity refreshingness that I like in strong wheaty ales. Also the carbonation is a little bit light. There is not the delicious bit of carbonation that Duvel has. I may have a slightly skunked bottle. I plan to reassess with another bottle in the future. nearbeer (1880), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Spices, citrus, light honey and resin on the nose. Flavor is the same, with more peppery resin and citrus-eucalyptus hop than expected. Frosty and soapy lacing left behind. Light-medium body is smoothly carbonated, hop-spicy-tingly and dry.
