Shards of lace. Dry-ish, fresh malts nose, with a whiff of caramel and alcohol. Grainy, soft-sweet malts taste, fresh malts; actually quite good for a Pilsener/pale lager. Ends duller sweet. Light to medium bodied, grist slickness. Decent pilsener, better than usual from Huyghe. The label remarks that the bottle remains property of the brewery Bolle Jan. Ah? And what do they say in Melle about that? As to the caption “Echt Brabants”, that is beyond ridiculous. Quinten (971), zaandam, Netherlands
