Thanks to Nate for sharing! Clear brown with a beige head. Caramel, cinnamon, clover and ginger nose. Strange citric taste. Sour and sweet with peach, ginger, caramel, and cardboard. Thin and oxidized body. Interesting, but a tad bit too old in my opnion.

9/13/08 - From bottle, courtesy of Nate, shared with exec board. Pours orange amber with foamy, light khaki head. Caramel, carbonic nose with mild citric/lemon. Taste is citiric acid with caramel, apple, dry bitter with a mild sour and a bit of raisin. Not bad.

From 325mL bottle, year unknown, at Village Tavern in Hammondsport, NY. Nice funky nose, a bit sour, a bit sweet, with mild oak. Has that nice wild yeasty nose, with a bit of floral-herbal hoppyness; wonderful. Dark amber-copper clear with thin off-white head, a few floaties. Medium bodied with light to medium carbonation. Starts with nice tart character, fruity with yeasty wild funk, oak and apples, winey. Nice bitter character in the finish but not harsh. Sweet-tart finish, mild and very nice. Very nice faro that seems to have held up nicely. I bought their last two bottles to take home - a steal at $7.50, I thought.

Bottle, 25cl, thx to thewolf. (vintage 1998, 5% ABV.) It poured a clear, copper body with a beige head. More head than expected for a 10 year old beer. Sweet, slightly oxidized nose with hints of cellar. Oxidized and sweet on the palate as well, medium fullness, with some fruity notes. Quite weak on the flavor. Oxidized finish. As expected, it was oxidized, but I don’t think that matters in a beer like this. It’s easy to drink, sure suitable for a hot day. (080301)

[1998 vintage] Hazy brown with tiny white short lasting head. Sweet malty aroma with no lambic notes and slightly oxidized. Flavor holds notes of caramel and goes the same way as the aroma.

25 cL bottle, thanks to BelJohansen and thewolf for this treat. Pours cloudy brown with a lacing white head. Oxidised malt aroma. Oxidised malt flavour with a surprisingly dry malt base. Light smooth malt and almost chocolate flavoured finish.
