Aroma is really sweet with lots of light caramel and brown sugar. A hint of spiciness. Flavour is loaded with sugar… toothachingly sweet really. Light caramel/bready flavour but a very thin body. No real wildness or tartness to speak of. More of a very light-bodied dubbel. A hint of plum and light earthiness. As a light brown ale, I guess it works as a confection, but as a faro, not so much. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

clear dark amber, scant head, sweet tart fruity aroma, slightly alcoholic, thin body, big malt flavor with lots of tartness that almost overshadows the fruity character, aged 2 years in oak

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 7, 2007 Bottle. Aroma of candy sugar mixed with geuze, which is a product description as well. A little barnyard, too. Raisins, candy with the sourness shining through, giving some citrus aroma. SHIG (2051), Aviano, Italy
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 25, 2007 Bottle: Poured a amber brown color with a slight reddish hint. The head was a thin soft white color. Aroma was a pungent sour fruit with accents of wood of some type. The taste was different, started out with a acidic fruit and sour tingle; however seemed dry hidden sweet finish. ogivlado (3095), Zagreb, Croatia
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 24, 2007 Bottled(250ml). –Amber coloured, medium sized white head, sourish caramel and cardboard nose. Sourish mild cherry and stale fruity aroma with notes of orange. Acidic finish. Not so good faro. 5.0%ABV larsga (3000), Oslo, Norway
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 20, 2007 Small offwhite head. Brown-red body. Syrupy wooden tobacco aroma with lots of unidentifiable things in the back; very complex. Acidic-yet-sweet wooden watery balanced taste with notes of grain and metal. An interesting and drinkable faro where the lambik characteristics have been preserved. (0.25l bottle from Dorstvlegel, Antwerp.) duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 15, 2007 Bottle. Tasted like flat coke mixed with caramel syrup. Quite stale in the mouthfeel. No sip in the flavour, felt quite dull. This one wasn’t so good. MiP (9162), Sønderborg, Denmark
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 10, 2007 Bottle, 5%. Sweet, acidic and vinous aroma with some fruit/berries. Dark amber colour, seems clear. Sparkling. Small white head. The flavour is citric and slightly sweet. Moldy with a rough, old tasting bitterness. Thin mouthfeel. Not too pleasant at first, but it gains a little after a while.
