355mL bottle, 2001. Pours a clear, chewy orange color; brownish-yellow tinge to an off-white head; pleasant lacing. Slightly off-putting aroma upfront; pleasant red fruits and honey underneath. Tart, apple cider and overripe red fruits; lively carbonation at the tip of the tongue; good density, but the tartness is mellowed out after the first taste, evening out to a syrupy, dense raisiny and dried fruit core. My family like it more than I did. Lengthy, sugar and overripe fruit finish.

25cl bottle: Dark brown with orange edges. Head of fine egg-shell bubbles. Dwindles to a thin ring rather quickly. Quite a pleasing aroma of sugar, musty wood, caramel malts, vinous notes, fruit salad, lacto, and a tiny hint of bubblegum. Medium body, starts off with a tart fruit twang moving towards tea leaves and finally to sour grapes and slight vinegar. The whole time there is a caramel and candysugar sweetness riding through as well as a musty barrel tone. The vineous sourness does seem to get a bit harsh towards the bottom of the glass. Not nearly as sweet as most Faros... actually quite "un-faro-esque."

Deep amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is candysugarish with some wood and sour fruits. Flavour is mostly candysugar and some wood. Quite sweet, but still not too sweet.

Want too ken on this, perhaps a bit too warm. Aroma was waltys hints of shour over ripe fruit, bit sweet and bloody. Taste is of similar nature again sweetness is key, not really my scene.

Darker amber to brown coloured beer with some light carbonation and a small white head. Heavy fruity sweet-sour aroma. Medium to full palate. Finish is bitter with some sour fruity touches. Pleasant and drinkable.

250 ml bottle, via Papsoe. Bottle 2 of a 4 bottle Faro tasting. Pours a mostly clear amber body with a small amount of fine floaties under a fizzy white head that fell to a thin ring. The aroma is fairly dry and a little earthy with just a hint of sugar and sweaty feet. A little strawberry note also. The flavor is more lambic like than the other 2 Faros I had so far, with alot less sugar and a little more funk. You can actually tell that this started as a Gueuze. Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied with moderate spritzy carbonation. No sticky sugary finish like the St Louis or Chapeau. Quite a lot more palatable than my previous two. No where near as sugary, but I will say that this was the outlier as far as similarities go between the 5 Faros I had. Not sure that makes this a better Faro, but it did make it a better drink than some of them. Now I see in the commercial description that the Lambic was blended with a Wheat ale, which explains why it was so different. Still more ejoyable than the sugar water Faros like Chapeau and St. Louis.

355ml bottle. Pours a clea reddish amber color with a thin offwhite head. The aroma is very mellow, some sweetness, some leather. The flavor feels flat, again sweetness and leather are the only things I detected. The mouthfeel is light and flat. There doesn’t seem to be a date on the bottle but my guess is that it’s quite old.

This copper-colored lambic poured with no head. it’s very sweet and a bit flat, with a hoppy finish. I found out that I don’t like faro.
