Pours a hazy light brown witha modest but dense head and wispy lacing. Dry and musty aroma. Tart woody and of apples, pears and slightly spicy. Quite dry aftertaste. Very interesting

Nose of pure oak and hop dusted apples. Lightly funky with yeast and sherry/cardboard notes. The flavor is creamy and woody like a rum soaked fruit cake. The finish is nice and balanced, unique, not sure what to think, this is my first. Wring some sherry out of a cardboard box, age, yeast, hops. yum! MesandSim (5851), London, Greater London, England

Tastes like marmite. Sugar/spicy aftertaste. Quite nice to drink. RAYBOY01 (1834), Chicago, Illinois, USA

(5-3-5-3-10). Re-rate: A fresh one is much better. Better earthy and lemony notes, you can actually taste the lambic. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA

Aroma is all vinegar without much else going on. Flavor very bland and oxidized. Looks oily but mouthfeel is very thin and watery. Papsoe (14996), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) Light brown, no head to speak of. A lot less sweet than other Faros I’ve had. This has a very pronounced, underlying lambic-sourness. Spicy with some citrus, but also apple-notes - and a sophisticated vinegary touch. But actually very balanced and quenching. Stronger than a typical Faro - Frank boon also calls this a "Dubbele Faro". 091197 Cornfield (4944), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA

Very watery, it frankly had too little of a flavor to be either pleasing or offensive. The finish is watery and lighty sweet. Not very impressive.
