| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 14, 2005 Bottle (possibly 7 years old) pours grayish brown, garnet hues, cloudy with sediment in the bottom, small off-white head, with so-so lacing. Sweet/Candyish nose, with a very slight tartness. Fairly sweet on the tongue, light, and not as tart as I would have thought. Subtle hints of oak and cherry... enough to know that the bottle is probably a bit past its prime but also to know how good it must have been. Body is quite enjoyable, but the beer still remains somewhat thin.   Sweet finish, candyish, but not cloying. Thanks goes out to mattbob for sharing.

I have looked long and hard for this style and finally found it sitting on a dusty lower level shelf in a beer store. Reddish-ruby in color. Crystal clear. No head. Aroma is funky, sweet and sour that has aged beyond its expected years. The body is medium and fairly smooth. Flavor is somewhat like a muted sweet and sour sauce. Unfortunately this beer is way past it’s prime. Thankfully I ordered some fresh Faro from Belgian Shop and can’t wait to give that a run. Joeh (1908), Buckinghamshire, England
