Commercial Description:
Faro Boon is een bier van spontane gisting waarbij Meerts bier en Oude Lambiek gemengd worden. De lichtbruine kleur en zoetzure smaak worden bekomen door toevoeging van kandijsuiker voor het bottelen. A beer of spontaneous fermentation, made by the blending of ’Meerts’ beer and old Lambics. The light-brown colour, as well as the sweet-sour character, are due to the addition of candisyrup before bottling.

Bottle - Clear deep dark chestnut body with a big lasting head; Excellent nose, super complex with an excellent balanced fruity sourness with the fill of the dark sugars right behind; The body doesnt have as much to offer as the nose, it is a little to innocent with only a slight lactic bite and a little to full dark sugar sweetness; Long finish with some character, great balance between sweet and sour parts and quite a bit of very well fitting aromas, sweet and green apples accompanied by warm sugar notes. Very, very pleasant.

Clear deep amber color with a foamy well lasting tanned head. Vinegar sourish aroma with a good woodyness, some cheesy hints and a nice balance between sweet- and sourness. Balsamic sourish flavor backed up by a sweet note of brown sugar. Not too sweet, but very good balanced amount of sugar. Not an easy faro - like most - bot more challenging. A great surprise and probably the best bottled faro I have had. And the faro to put me back on 100% for the style :-)

Bottle. Clear orange colour with a creamy white head. Rich complex aroma and taste of fruits, yeast and caramel with sugary/sour notes. A faro on the sweet side, but good.

A great Faro, darker in cilor than most other Faro’s, It has a great smell of carameized applecake, honey, candy, fruit-jam and cumble. Soft taste and good balans. Sour apples, candy, farmhouse honey and some earthy accents too.

Very dark brown. No head. Candyish nose - toffeeish and almost liquoricey. Quite sweet and sugary up front with some caramelized notes. Yet, some barnyardy complexity remains. It’s very drinkable.
