I like my lips to pucker when I drink lambic so this one isn’t for me. onlyrocknroll (220), Cork, Ireland
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 15, 2007 An attractive dark ruby colour with a small but sustained head, the aroma was of ripe raspberries underscorred with some delicate maltiness. Medium body and quite light carbonation. Fruity sweetness on the palate, well balanced by a sharp tartness which fades nicely onto the finish. DarkMagus (433), San Jose, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2007 Poured an appealing light red/pinkish color with a good amount of carbonation and champagne-like bubbliness. Sour, funky, candy-like aroma with a mouthwatering raspberry character and a faint mustiness. Flavors were fairly straightforward... sour candy raspberry--more sweet than sour--and some faint woody musty notes. Mouthfeel was bubbly and champagne-like with a slight acidic/dry finish. Overall this was not all that complex of a lambic... I kind of wanted more intensity and more SOURNESS... plus it was a bit on the expensive side. But good stuff nonetheless, worth trying at least once. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 12, 2007 Hazy red, no head. Aroma is soapy with a tart raspberry scent. Flavor is very dry raspberry flavor like if it was just a raspberry peel, classic soapy belgian gueze taste. Flavor is a lot drier than I thought it would be tart. What a great gueze with fruit added.
