Boon Framboise pours with a large off-white head and an apple cider-colored body with large pieces of pulp. It has an intense nose of acid, dry wood and raspberries. This promises to be a heartburn in a bottle. It is intensely sour with vinegar bite. After the shock of the first sip the beer settles into a highly carbonated mouth-party of tart raspberries, acid and happy little bubbles. The finish isn’t as dry as I would expect but has an unexpected watermelon exit that leaves your mouth watering for more. PhillyBeer2112 (2089), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 30, 2007 This is a nice framboise. By the looks of the bottle, I think the best buy date is 2008 - I’m not sure how long they project these, but lambics can go awhile, so I figure this one has been around awhile, which is consistent with the beers I’ve been getting in FL. This was the first time I was scared of the sediment in a beer, which came out during the last pour, thick chunky and black! I decanted the better part of my glass into another glass and dumped the rest. Otherwise the beer was good, pouring an orangey red color with a foaming but fast pinkish head. Funky barnyardy, leathery and raspberryish aroma, with a hint of pitty earthiness. Flavor nicely sour, really just about the perfect amount of acidity: hard, but not overly acetic. Complemented, rather than cut, with a sweet raspberry undertone. Drying finish, with lingering woody notes. Light refreshing palate with good carbonation. Good one. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 25, 2007 Dark red color with no head. Slight raspberry aroma. Crushingly sour taste with bone dry raspberries. Definitely an example that is lambic first, fruit second. BDR (2169), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

Pours a hazy pinkish brown brew with a thick, fizzy pinkish tan head. Minimal lacing. Aroma of earthy dust, raspberries, cask, white pepper and a touch of vinegar. Taste is lambic sour, yeasty, raspberries, very carbonated, and a little syrupy. Finish is dry, bitter and a sour aftertaste. sunevdj (1787), Copenhagen OE, Denmark
