Bright red, blood-like. Crystalised light pink head that thins out and becomes quite lacey. The nose is a sweet and sour marriage of both young and pungent over-ripe raspberries. In the mouth the sour raspberry dominates, with a good deal of sweetness present too, and a long, dry, woody finish (hints at the Boon Geuze here). Just short of puckering. Medium weight. Perfectly soft carbonation. Some powderiness on the palate. Woodiness still lingers on... lovely appertif or desert beer. anders37 (4747), Malmö, Sweden

Flavor is sweet raspberries, some tartness. Finish is dry and a little sour. Could be a little more sour. slang (404), Columbia, South Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 2, 2005 Good looking burbangy yet clear. Sour nose of funky yeast and berries. Taste is tarte and sweet yet has an odd metallic linger. Enjoyable, but I think I like their kriek better. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 29, 2005 I liked this one substantially more than the Boon Kriek. The pour was dark rubyish with a splotchy white head. The aroma was wild yeast and raspberries/cherries, with some sour fruit and female taint overtones. The flavor was a tart berry medley along with some horse barn finshing palate notes. This one was a very good lambic. joergen (8621), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Not as tart as Cantillon Framboise. Not that much funk. Tasty dessert beer but not as sour, tart & funky as I might like. JK (2961), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 24, 2005 Excellent raspberry aroma with some lambic funk. Light pink; fairly clear. Flavor is light raspberry with lambic weirdness, yeast, some barnyard. The most sour fruit lambic I have had, but still not has sour as a lambic without fruit. GarethYoung (1110), Glasgow, Scotland
