Draught at the Palm brewery tap. Very raspberryish. It is well balanced, with a lovely fruity taste. It was served as an aperitif, and it was well suited to that.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm 27 April) - No head on a super red unclear body; Huge deep, complex nose with overpowering notes of HORSESHIT (I guess I have had the same cask as Svesse and Sayravai). I asked the waiter if the beer was supposed to smell of horseshit, but he could only smell raspberry. Well, I left the beer in the glass for 4 hours and the fruit actually ended up coming out! I hope this beer will be at the Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation, because I would really like to taste it again. Alright, behind the horseshit there where some wood, a little vanilla and very, very little raspberry; Soft body, little creamy, very little sour, into long finish that is quite sour and has raspberry stepping out, also in the begining.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm 28 Apr) Colour is red, I’d probably call it raspberry red, hazy. Nose is, well, kind of strange (after reading sayravais’s notes, with a recognizing smile, I must agree he has a point, but I din’t find it all that bad). Slight notes of rotten eggs and fresh manure are evident (one of my friends thought it was more like what you find in used diapers, while another didn’t find anything suspicious at all), but, however, with an underlying acidic and harsh raspberry character, like mashed, unsweetened raspberries. Taste is (a lot better than the smell) acidic and harsh with the same character of mashed, unsweetened raspberries. Very dry finish. Nice balance (in the taste that is). Tried it in 2005 as well, but that was absolutely brilliant, a completely different brew. So I would probably have to rerate this sometime.

(Draught@Akkurat, specially brewed for the Sour&Bitter event, 2006) Opaque darkish red color with no head. Sulphury rotten egg aroma with some faint fruity notes (the Akkurat staff was certain that it was ok, as it was opened yesterday, and that it was merely "fruitier than the regular one". Yes, they did sniff it!). Very mildly tart, fruity and bitter flavor with a hint of cherries. Medium-bodied with very low carbonation. I’ll have to disagree with Akkurat - this one had clearly gone bad! Had enough of the place after taking a few sips of this rotten egg soup, and moved on to OT...

Draught (handpumped) at Akkurat. I had this several times during the Sour and Bitter Festival in Stockholm, May 2005. The colour varied from being clear deep dark red to looking really thick, unclear and milky. The aroma and the flavour are very fruity with notes of everything from fresh raspberries to exotic fruits like oranges, unripe mangos, kiwis and grapefruits. Extremely intense and flavourful with some serious sourness all around. It should be a death sin to blend and sweeten this nectar of the Gods.

(sampled draught at Akkurat, Stockholm) Clear red colour, small pink head. Fresh natural raspberry aroma. Dry, acidic flavour of raspberries, salt and herbs Rather tart finish of raspberries and grapfruit. Damn good.

Handpumped @ Akkurat, Stockholm. 10 May 2005
Very fresh raspberry aroma and lavour. Almost like a raspberry sorbet. Very refreshing. Quite rich in acidity as well with a slight hint of newly cut grass in the aftertaste. Wow!

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear red, slightly hazy. Fresh raspberry aroma. CItric and intense with balanced acidity and concentrated raspberry flavour. Complex, yet refreshing. Probably the best beer made with raspberries.
