Dark cherry colour, no head .Acid, wood and grape-ish sent and some rot too. Warm feel of more cherries and port, not much acidity left, like the 25 year old red balamico I´ve got back home; kind of fat and oily in the mouth. A very varied and full tasteexperience. joergen (8610), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 14, 2005 Bottled @ RBESG2005, vintage 198?: Dusty red coloured. Is very unclear and sediment is in the glass. Had a go at both bottles donated by Jeppe, and one of them were better than the other. Not too sour acidic cherry aroma. Is quite earthy. The taste is very sour. Almost no fruitsweetness is left to hold out against the sour acidity. The beer isn’t that bad though, but it’s probably a bit over the top. TBone (6788), Pori, Finland

Hazy reddish nut brown, no head. Earthy, extremely sweet liquerish kriek aroma. Sour, flat, very tart flavor of cherries. After sampling this as 3rd beer in RBESG05 grand tasting, you know we are talking about serious beer rating now :) Engelsmann (653), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 13, 2005 75 cl. bottle @ RBESG ’05 Botlle from sometime in the 1980’s. Pours a muddy red’ish brown. Aroma is of earth, sour cherries. Taste is VERY sour, quite a bit of the cherries are still present. This beer was a bit over the top, but still very enjoyable. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 29, 2005 Lots of yeast surfs its way around the pinkish to brown murky body, no head. Initially candyish cherry hearts nose. Nice earthiness, but the dustiness doesn’t feel as cohesive as with a real tart and mature lambic. It concentrates mostly on the strong cherry flavors, acidity being a mere lurking shadow. Sweet and meringue tasting lactic component. It is a bit more typical on the tongue where the acidity comes through with more ease, though we’re dealing with mostly fruit acids. Typical heavy boon cherry presence. Slight musty earthiness, yeasty and almost corky. Light bodied is mostly flat. This was rather disappointing...
