(33cl bottle) Sampled at RBSG 2005 in Montreal. Pours headless with a deep copper body. Nose of sweet pennies and cherry. Tart, sour and thin. Sadly a bit of a letdown.

2005 RBSG Montreal Friday Night Tasting. Cloudy red brown colour with no head. Lightly tart cherry and faint barnyard and horseblanket aroma. Tart cherry flavour, but very straightforward. Light bodied, dry, refreshing. A bit of a disappointment.

RBSG 2005... Poured a hazy, brownish red color with no head, black floaties abound. Aroma of vinegar, cherries, leather, horseblanket and brett. Taste of tart cherries, oak, and acid with light carbonation. Thanks EDA for the sample.

Hazy reddish pink with a fluffy pink head. Sweet cherry aroma with tart stones. Sort of sweet, sort of tart. The acidity becomes stronger as it sits. The woody, barnyard elements are quickly washed away by the acidity. Even some of the cherry characteristics are lost. I’m not sure how old this one is, but perhaps it was a bit too old or a somehow a bad bottle. Not nearly as good as I was expecting.

Vintage bottle from late 70s-early 80s.
Pours hazy peach colored with no head. Very funky aroma with a tart sourness but also a candied sweetness. Full and heavy of cherries, like cherry candy with a sour touch. Extremely complex. Flavor is tart and very dry with lots of fruit, not just cherries, but other kinds as well. Grapefruity with a dry woody note and a tone of earth and wet cork. Very very interesting and in extremely good condition!!

Probaby one of the nicest Krieks that I have had. Explosive bottle I ended up wearing some of it. The taste tart with cherry complexity and wondeful mouthfeel and effervesence. If you can find it buy it ! 1995
