Rating #1400? 12oz bottle. Pours a dark, relatively clear, black-cherry color; pink head with fine-bubbled lacing. Aroma shows cough syrup, cherry lozenges, and baby powder; very odd, stick-sweet aroma. Medium mouthfeel follows the aroma reasonably well: sweet cherry cough drops and black cherry juice; a bit of funk and tartness comes through that wasn’t really apparent in the aroma; still far too sweet and fake-cherried. Very odd. Lengthy finish, showing plenty of sugar, cherry juice, and some bread.

Courtesy of kmweaver. Dark, cloudy ruby body with a small pinkish head. Big cherry cough syrup nose with lots of sugars and some dustiness. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately tart with lots of fresh cherry juice, light lemon and cotton candy. Medium body is soft with moderate carbonation.

Color is a bit hazy, orange-red. Pours with thin, pink head and forms nice lacing. Aroma is tart with a lot of cherry. Beer tastes a lot of sweet an tart cherry and ends somewhat sour. Medium-bodied.

Deep red with a beautifull head, rosé coloured. Aroma of cherries and grapes and a sweet-acid flavour of marzipan, sugar and cherries. I’m very fond of the sweet and simple krieks, and this belongs in the top of that category. It’s not complex, but highly drinkable.

Pours reddish brown with a bubbly pink head. Aroma is wild cherry. Flavor is very sweet, cherries dominate again. A bit of funk. Pretty acidic with a lingering sour sweetness. Nice mouthfeel.

Poured into a wine glass. Body is the color of raspberry preserves and the head is a fluffy light pink. Retention is very good and there’s a bit of sudsy lacing left behind. Smells exactly like black cherry yogurt. Not as tart as a cherry itself, but rather sweet and tantalizing. Taste is also quite sweet, with the unmistakeable flavor of black cherries. Pretty low on complexity but that’s usually the point of a sweet lambic. Mouthfeel is very dry for the level of sweetness. Lots of prickly effervescence. Extremely drinkable, great dessert beer.

This boy was very excited to see me. The cork leapt out of the bottle before I even finished untwisting the cage, hurting my finger and hitting the ceiling fan. Pour is predictably foamy after all that, and soapsuds are long lasting. Deep ruby color, gorgeous. Dry tart mild lambic aroma. The flavors are much sweeter than the smells. Candy kisses on the tips and sides of the tongue. But the cherry flavor itself is nice: like big juicy ripe dark Okanagan cherries. Simple lambic but one that could go well for brunch or dessert.

355ml bottle corked and caged, shared with my girlfriend Cyn, bought at the La Jolla Bev Mo. Pours red with a 1 finger pink head. Nose is rich and cherry. Taste is sweet and tart, more on the sweet side. Taste is big and full bodied. Not an amazing kriek but not a terrible one either.
