This boy was very excited to see me. The cork leapt out of the bottle before I even finished untwisting the cage, hurting my finger and hitting the ceiling fan. Pour is predictably foamy after all that, and soapsuds are long lasting. Deep ruby color, gorgeous. Dry tart mild lambic aroma. The flavors are much sweeter than the smells. Candy kisses on the tips and sides of the tongue. But the cherry flavor itself is nice: like big juicy ripe dark Okanagan cherries. Simple lambic but one that could go well for brunch or dessert.

355ml bottle corked and caged, shared with my girlfriend Cyn, bought at the La Jolla Bev Mo. Pours red with a 1 finger pink head. Nose is rich and cherry. Taste is sweet and tart, more on the sweet side. Taste is big and full bodied. Not an amazing kriek but not a terrible one either.

12oz bottle-A deep red with a small ring for a head and an aroma of cherries and sweetness. A big sweetness and a small amount of tart on the very front end. I felt this bottle had a lot of sweetness. Nice tasting. Well balanced.

Bottle, bought @ Vinspecialisten Kolding Storcenter
[vintage 2006]
Pours a lovely deep rusty red with a small fizzy pink head. Aroma is heavy of cherries, rather sweet, some cream toffee as well. Rather full and foam-like mouthfeel. Falvour is mildly sour, some funkiness. The cream toffee appears again in the aftertaste, sadly with a touch of metal as well. The cherries are nice, subdued and semi-tart.

Rust, blood, and cherry pie nose. Pinkish red hue. Not enough sweetness. A little too heavily bodied, maybe it could use higher alcohol? Better Kriek Lambics out there.

On tap at LeBaron in the Brussels suburb of Stockel. Ruby color with somwehat fluffy pink head. Big juicy wild cherry nose, sweet flavor but not sticky or cloying, not tart enough but tasty in a simple way with lots of big fruit. Some mild carbonation, a bit wet. Tasty, refreshing, uncomplicated.

Dark red with lasting pink head. Little lacing, strong aroma of cherries and sweetness. Very sweet taste with long aftertaste. Very easy to drink and very good. A little bit more earthiness than Lindemanns. A good balance.
