Bottle, own stemmed flute glass @ the Blanche De Bruxelles café, Brussels, June ’06.
Produced a translucent ruby, sparkling in this bar’s courtyard, the afternoon’s bargain hunters merrily passing by as my wife and I supped. The head formed off the pour, but little retention, and bubbles on the meniscus was all that held. Carbonation slight, fine. Aroma was very pleasing; big fruit, sour, tart and tickling, light notes of sodden barrels, rusting steel, maybe a little cheese but it is all so much controlled by the fruit. The palate the same. It is soft on the tongue, not much bounce, comes off creamy. Fruit is ripe and rampant with sweet reaches at front and a solid, savoury, fruity-soft, dry safe-zone as it moves south. Acidic and hessian sack notes not lacking, the finish is full of funky yeast developments and voids harshness to deliver a nice balance of true Lambic character with full, supple fruit flavours. A little wood resides on and in the mouth, some textured cherries too. It was a complex little brew, my notes obviously vague I had to build them. It’s been a while since I tasted this. I liked it, and whilst I bought it for my wife, with me knocking it back, I had to replace her drink quickly!!!! (33cL corked, no date)

Kriek beers are on my list of favourites and although I prefere them kind of sweet, this one is dry and is pretty dem good. The flavor on the moth after each zip is just delighful.

Amazing aroma of sour cherries and springtime breeze. Pours a red color with a fizz and presence in the glass that demands you drink it. I couldn’t stop sniffing this beer. Flavor was excellent with a perfectly light palette. I never wanted this bottle to end. It wasn’t at al cloying, and it was pretty dry for a fruit beer, the sour cherry (think cherry pie cherries) dominated the flavor.

Bottle. Head was red with an average fizzy appearance. Color was red with a murky like body. Aroma was predominantly sweet berries and some acidic. Vinegar, cherries, raspberries could be felt. Medium bodied with a fizzy carbonation and a slightly sticky texture. Flavor was light sweet with some balancing acidic notes. Nice balanced kriek.

Light and crisp lambic. Sweeter than others that I have had. Quite a strong cherry aroma and flavor. Lots of carbonation and a long-lasting pink head. Interestingly sweet, but lacking the sour taste that I LOVE. Overall, not bad.

well this was interesting.......... Dark dark red, very thin pink head. Aroma is of cherries, and vanilla. Very soft lambic, not much tartness at all, its quite sweet, actually a little too sweet. Not what i was expecting, tastes very much of dark overripe cherries, and not sour at all. Would be very nice on a hot summer day.

Bottle. An aromatically fruity, almost lemony brew. Flavour is complex, bustling with fruitiness and not so acidic as one would believe, pretty "soft" and good to drink, even for those who are far from hardcore lambic drinkers. A great unblended 100% pure lambic.

Clear seethrough red with a fine dense head. Nose is filled with cherry, floral and preserved berries. Quit sweet an lack’s a bit acidity for my taste!
