Clouded, bloody red appearance, decent head formation. Noticeable cherry, grenadine aroma, pungent cheesey balance. Sweet cherry flavor, woody tones add balance not much complexity and fairly thin in body.

2002. Sweet syrupy black cherry aroma with light fruity hops. Strawberry juice pink-grey, hazy, with light pink lacing foamy head. Medium body with high carbonation. Starts with cherry sweetness, mild bitterness. Bit watery throughout and too sweet. Not enough gueuze sourness to counterbalance the watery sweetness. Kind of disappointing.

Bottle bought in Belgium. 375ml corked. Yoghurt and cream cheese, cherry drops, not really sweet but also without lambic sour/dry/tart character. Ok, but I’ve come to expect more.

Vintage 2003 bottle - 4.5% ABV.
Pours a fizzy pink head on a clear deep red colored body. Mostly sweet in the aroma. Mild cherry. Sodapop-like. Sweet cherry flavor as well with a bit of sourness in the end. Tastes more like a fruit beer than a lambic. Citrus tones. Fresh and tasty.

Nice purple color, spare head, leaving laces on the glass. Cheery and cheese nose. Very sweet wild cherry taste.

Deep copper color with the just the slightest touch of pink in the foamy white head that leaves behind tons of lace. Nose is mild, more vaguely fruity than it is cherry. At first I also noted a bit of smoky funk but that waned quickly. Slightly sweet with a prickle of carbonation and a slight sour tang. Finishes with much drier than it tastes initially with a bit of lingering sourness. Definitely refreshing but it’s lacking a bit of complexity.
