Aroma is strong with intense cherry/raspberry flavors accompanied with vanilla, cream, fruit syrup and faint cask wood. Taste is very sweet, slightly cloying even with a faint acidity, too restrained oaky notes, leafy. Unbalanced sugar oriented dessert just like their framboise. Great full body though with sparkling carbonation. Bottom line: Children Lambic. Indra (2036), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA

Fruity, flowery and lightly sugary aroma, some tartness, light citrus, berry and of course cherry, with a faint herbal woodiness evident. Medium garnet in color, semi-hazy with a pinkish, lightly foamy head. Flavor is sweet to start, becoming tarter as it progresses, with plenty of juicy cherry throughout and a very light twinge of sourness. Finishes sweet again. Body is light and airy, mouthfeel is smooth and gently effervescent. Lacking complexity but very nicely refreshing. Kind of a side note, after having also previously had the New Belgium Transatlantique the addition of this beer to New Belgium’s was even more evident. slang (407), Columbia, South Carolina, USA

Tart, cherry all the way. Tingly mouthfeel. But there is some odd linger similiar to ammonium. Hansen (2289), Randers, Denmark

Very sweet on the border to alco pop. A nice summer drink but not more than one small glass. fiulijn (7420), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 7, 2004 Cloudy red color. Very nice cherry aroma, some sweetness; very light vanilla; no sourness. Pleasant taste, correct fuitness, not really sour. Average final. An easy approach to Fruit Lambics. jerohen (1615), Bussum, Netherlands

Cassis aroma, just a bit tart. Sweet sour cherry flavour, refreshing but not very interesting. Watery finish. ClarkVV (3578), Allston, Massachusetts, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 21, 2004 Updated: Aug 23, 200716/2/04 date on the bottle (best before). Medium pink color, with some rosy hues and light white-yellow tinges. Lots of sediment at the bottom which clouds and darkens it. Small, rapidly dissipating white head. Good amount of effervescence and the aroma has a lightly tart, moderately sweet cherry meat smell. Not terribly complex on the nose and the flavor is a bit light as well. Medium sweet, very lightly tart. Good enough real cherry flavors, but the lambic behind it is very fleeting. The finish is quick and there is an additional note of refined sugar. Nowhere near as sweet as Lindemans, but the texture is not chewy or interesting either. A good, light drink, but give me more lambic qualities. Some sour oak tannin flavors are detectable but there is no funk whatsoever.
