Beer info: Bottled in green 750ml corked bottle 4.0% abv BB 26/03/2012
Sampling Notes:
Served chilled in pilsner glass
Pours an attractive murky black body with a small dense tan head.
Good pop on uncorking, pours a deep purple-ruby body with a creamy bit of pink head.
Prominant cherry on the nose, sour cherry more specifically, slightly almondy and yet somewhat sweet. Subtle oakiness in the background, doesn’t allude to much tartness or acidity though.
Body is a bit fuller than expected, slight stickiness/sweetness about it, lively carbonation. Acidity is particularly low for the style, bit of wheaty drying.
Almost candy-like cherry flavour, hint of tannic, vinous dark berries (blackberry, blueberry), bit of sherberty maltiness(?), touch of oak and spice, faintest bit of funk on the finish, which is quite smooth and restrained.
It’s delicious, but is a bit too sweet and one-dimensional to meet my lambic needs. Very good regardless. HenrikSoegaard (4395), Randers, Denmark

pours cloudy red with a thick smooth small pink head. seasoned cherries (not fresh) cherry peel, deep sweetness.marzipan.
flavor is a lot less sweet than aroma. cherries and citrus dominates, a littel sour in there too. stable or leather flavor from the beer do a nice background. JanVittrup (151), København V, Denmark
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 16, 2009 Sweet, considerable girlfriend appeal. The sour cherries taste integral to the beer - not like a beer mixed with cherry juice, which sometimes seem the case.
Will do well with ice cubes this summer.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 15, 2009 Bottle... Poured burgundy with a pink head. Aroma of cherries and yeast. Strong cherry flavors, but they were very fresh and had a nice spiciness which played off of the yeast. Borup (1360), Albertslund, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 27, 2009 Pour is a cloudy dark red brown with a noisy purple head that fizzes away quickly. Aroma is cherries with mustiness. Flavor is natural cherry, like I used to eat off the tree before they were completely ripe. A bit of rhubarb, as well. This is surprisingly dry and leaves a moderately dry bitterness as an aftertaste. One of the best lambics I have come across. lampeno420 (321), Zeeland, Michigan, USA

He made me drink it. THANKS!!! Awesome scent from a 6oz pour, bursting with cherry aroma. I couldn’t believe how full the palate was for being a lambic, nice filling taste time after time. A great treat. Thanks BillVanE!
