Strong sweet cherry pie filling aroma with some acidity, berries and candy notes. Sweet and sour cherries in the mouth with a short, dry, tart sparkly finish. Clean and refreshing but full of subtle complexities. TheJollyOne (204), Kofu, Japan
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 19, 2008 Ruby red pour with a small, fizzy, pink head. The smell is predominately cherry with some hints of citrus. Taste is of sour cherries and sugar, begins sour on the buds and then turns a nice bitter. Fantastic! Palate is a bit syrupy, with lively carbonation. Great lambic. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 16, 2008 Reddish pour with a pink tinged head. Musty yeast aroma with big cherry presence. Flavor is sweet and tart, musty and sour with a pleasant bite. Not bad. 502Flavors (629), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 8, 2008 355 ml. into wine glass. Great looking pour - clear but dark red/pink with a creamy light pink head that fades pretty quickly. The aroma is good and funky - sour apple, cherries, and sour raspberry/blackberry notes... a bit cheesy too. Flavor isn’t as sour and funky as aroma suggests. it is really balanced and drinkable though. Not overly sweet, great soft cherry flavor with a pit of sour apple to it. Not overly carbonated either - very fine tingly soft carbonation. Overall: simple but highly drinkable and refreshing for sure. Floback (337), Naples, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 18, 2008 Bottle from Total Wine. Pours a reddish amber color with a minimal pink head. Nose is sour candy. Definite cherry in the flavor, more tangy than sweet. Much less sour yeast presence than expected. Very cloying at the back of the mouth. Thin body and lively carbonation. Not bad, a nice departure from other, more sweet lambics. daknole (3007), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 13, 2008 Reddish pour with a frothy head. Aroma is cherry sough syrup and flavor is just too sweet. Could use some tartness to balance. Good thing I wasn’t drinking the whole bottle. raymondwave (878), Finland
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 30, 2008 Bottle 0,375 l. Ruby red, whitish lemonade head. Nose is candy cherry, Dr. Pepper kind of. Slighty sour. Flavor is again cherry on a Dr. Pepper kind of way, or some candies. Not necessarily very organic taste. Not as tart as it could be, nor actually sweet. Dr Pepper and Cherry coke do come to mind and maybe almonds. Strange, don’t know this genre very well. Geuzelambix (110), København, Denmark
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Aug 24, 2008 Not a good kriek. Too sweet and way to much in the line of a cherry wine. Neither the aroma nor the taste were a huge pleasure. Not nasty as such, but try to avoid it.
