| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 9, 2009 Bottle. Pours bright red, with a thin and not terribly pervasive head on top, which is very pale pink. Nose is massive, if slightly syrupy cherry, with the acidity of the lambic coming through nicely as well. Palate is lovely cherry, with no noticable "cough syrup" character. Considering I’d been told that this was awful, I’m quite impressed. Not the best Kriek I’ve had, but not a bad one either. Decent. deyholla (734), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 23, 2009 Bottle. Poured a deep red with a thin pinkish brown head. Aroma was full of cherries both sweet and tart, but also a bit of a cough syrup on the nose. Flavor is more one note with tart cherries. rakkasan (80), Bresso, Italy

Deep red, small pink head. Some gritty sediment that it’s fairly easy to not pour out. Heavenly maraschino cherry aroma, a touch sweet. Vanilla retronasals, pleasant soft carbonation, and smooth velvetty mouthfeel. Cherry taste quite potent, but not overpowering or caricatured. Sourness completely in check, I normally like more bite, but the smoothness of this without sickly sweetness of artificual fruitiness that cheaper krieks have makes this easily forgivable - this is simply a stunning barely-sour kriek. The finish retreats to being mostly the dark cherries. Balance is stunning, even if the complexity is low. Should have bought another bottle, so I could age it for another couple of years. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 4, 2009 Updated: Nov 5, 2009Nice appearance, but disappoints by being almost like a sparkling wine as opposed to a lambic. It’s still drinkable and solid, but lacks complexity and a bit of quality. bluebetty (132), Australia
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 4, 2009 Bottle. Shared with Own and Danny. Thanks guys. Pours a soft pink with small head that disappears pretty quickly. Initial aromas are of cherry cola but this settles to revieal sour cherry, almond and some vanilla. Whilst no huge lambic flavours there is definately there along with plenty of sour cheery. There is also plenty of sweetness which nicely balances these sour flavours. Overall a nice beer.
