Notes are small as i was chattin to so many people. Really dark red/cherry colour. Cherry tart nose. Boon lambic is noticeable with the only of the kriekenlambics that i could detect hops. Draught (of course) at ZBF. Jumped all over this as soon as I saw it and I wasn’t disappointed. Hardcore cherry with very slight alcohol nose. Obviously totally flat. A little darker in the body and as a result looks almost like a red wine. Slight cinnamon detected in both the nose and flavour with the latter being backed up with some balsamic character too. Other than that it’s all wonderful natural cherry flavour with the whole thing in there, stones, stalks, everything. Definitely something green about it. Easily superior to the oude kriek. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 5, 2006 Draught – Very deep Bordeaux red body, bib bubbled edge, quite unclear; Huge nose, deep but not super complex: harsh orange peel, fresh and ripe apple, in general a bit to harsh, with time in glass more marzipan and cherry come out; Very full body with, that is very neutral, only very little sour, oily textured; Into quite long but simple finish with not a lot to it, some cherry, apple and wood. Nose is slightly acidic and soapy with a nice cherry character. Taste is slightly acidic, with dark cherries and an nutty character from the stones. Full cherry taste. This is actually brilliant.
