Commercial Description:
This is strictly speaking NOT a commercial beer. It is a third running of the lambicmalts, used for blending purposes in order to make faro and kriek. Frank Boon still does it the old way, and consented to have this served, for beerenthusiasts' interest, on the Bierpallieters' festival.
DISCLAIMER: This beer is, repeated, NOT a commercial beer. It is effectively more worts than beer. So, it makes very little sense to claim this beer is not "good", etc.

cask sample @ WSF. Was very excited to snag a sample of this. Opaque apricot colour, no head. Sweetish aroma of grass, malt and citrus with a hint of horse. Kinda smells like damp wood. Candy sweet sugar/treacle and orange in the taste. Watery, but decent body. Very strange, but interesting no less.

Draught @ 16th Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation 2007, Optal. Murky medium orange color with virtyally none head. Aroma is moderate to heavy sweet, hops, malty, dust. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet (fresh sweet / like young ! ) with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. Once in a lifetime experience.

Draught at the Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation 2007
Very hazy brown body. Sweet aroma of citrus, hops, malts, with a dusty overlay. Lightly bodied, very sweet flavour with some bitterness. Weird, but not very good. Like drinking wort. Thanks to Frank Boon for providing this beer. It was unique!

Draught. Tasted at the Festifal of Buggenhout 2007. Not really a beer yet but still a nice taste. And I agree with Joris. I think a once in lifetime experiience. Lucky enough the brewer brought special a sample from it so we could taste it

Draught Muddy, murky beer with of course no head. Sweetish nose, worts, speculoos , burnt cakerind. Like very young, sweet worts, unhopped still. A bit of candi sugar, malts, but dusty old casks. Despite the fact that this is totally fermented out (only linked glucosides left), the Bretts not included, this is still pretty well-bodied, slick. Extremely interesting stuff. It’s not what one would drink daily, or during an evening, but it is not un-nice.
