Watery texture. The flavor is bitter and acidic, but not as much as I like. I don’t like the bitter finish. It’s more bitter than sour, and I don’’t think, that the 8% alcohol brings some extra good to the beer. TimE (1308), Tokyo, Japan
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Drinking the 2004 version. Had this beer many times before, but this time finding more depth of honey, honey dew, horse blankets, hay, cherries, peache cobbler. There is an underlying malty sweetness to the beer that sits back to the upfront sourness. It is an approachable lambic for the uninitated, but not timid by any means. The sourness just lingers subtly at the end. Not over the top, but gentle with great complexity. How I want a lambic to be. KAF (441), Coralville, Iowa, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 21, 2008 HIgh carbonation. Pale yellow pour with a fizzy two finger off-white head. Dulled light fruit aroma with a funky zest. Watery funkiness in the taste along with some hay and lime with a hint of alcohol. Svesse (2679), Hässelby, Sweden

Acidic, fruity nose with overripe pears, horse blanket, stable and sweat. Fruity, tart taste with notes of citrus, tropical fruit and green apples. Balanced acidity, slightly vinous. Dry, medium to full body. Nice gueuze, with a rounded mouthfeel and slightly more alcohol than usual. Lubiere (4536), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Aroma of horseblanket, with nice ground cherries, and light epsom sallt, very pleasant. In mouth, a good lactic gueuze, with light cherries in mouth, but less acid than expected. Very nice. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 27, 2008 Poured into a wine glass. Hazy dark gold with a small white head of fine carbonation. Aroma is semi-sour, with lemon, apple skin, and chardonnay. Flavor is a little acetic, a little citric, and a little lactic all at once. Not arrestingly sour. Musty lemon with mild phenol, cherry, and nutty yeast. Mouthfeel is sublime. Very soft and pleasant. Finish is dry and tart. Nice carbonation. A good intro to gueuze. austone (1039), Turku; Pori, Finland

Sharp, stomach acidy flavor with apple and grapefruit. Smooth, velvety palate. Very nice, refreshing Gueuze, reminds me a bit of 3 Fonteinen Vintage. hopdog (5604), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 21, 2008 375ml bottle. Poured a medium to deeper golden color with a huge sized white head. Aromas of barn yard, animal manure, leather, funky, and citrus. Tastes of some funkiness, citrus, and some wood. Cheese starting coming out as I drink more. I found this one to be on the thin side all the way around. Very light tart finish.
