Feb 26, 2008 medium amber color with a slight head. Great gueze smell is tart, musty, hay, wood, apples, barnyard, all the good stuff. A fairly dry taste is a complex mesh of apples, cellar, hay, leather, wood, horseblanket barnyard etc. Light and zesty mouthfeel. Another fantastic gueze. 5107

Feb 18, 2008 12.7 oz bottle. Pours clear golden color with a huge rocky, foamy white head. Aroma is evident from several feet away. White wine, green apple skins, a touch of pepper, cidery, slight funk though kept in check compared to other gueuzes - not as much horse blanket or barnyard character in this one. Apples are the standout aroma. Taste is very subdued for the style. Peppery esters start out on the tongue, though subtly then move on to a sweet apple flavor. Acidity is low, tartness nowhere to be found. Certainly the least sour traditional lambic I’ve had. Finishes dry. A disappointment.

Feb 18, 2008 Tasted 2008-02-18. Bottle of unknown date (BB year 2025). Pours clear, dark yellow with frothy, white head. Aroma of barnyard, sour apples (rotten apples), very funky. Flavours: Very tart and a little bitter, actually. Extremely dry. Quite good, if you’re into this kinda stuff!

Feb 16, 2008 Amber orange-red pour. Funky vinegar aroma with grape notes. Bitter sour taste with citrus. Not bad, but there are better ones.

Feb 10, 2008 Bottle, Kulminator. Slightly cloudy, light caramel, thin off-white fluffy head, excellent effervessence. Nose is hazy gueuzey tones, lemony, hints of grass, tints of strawberry. Mouth is watery, lively gueuze, some metallic tones. Tart and a very dry end, slightly fruity. Quite good.

Feb 9, 2008 Bottle from the Blue Max. This was just too tart. Very little flavor except tartness. I do like a gueuze but this was a waste for me.

Feb 2, 2008 Cloudy pale straw yellow, massive finely bubbled head that eventually recedes to form foamy islands. Aroma of wet straw and must. Sour entry, very complex set of flavours with tart green graps, leather, fresh cut wood, musty basement yeast, and petrol all coming to mind as I sip. Tart dry finish.

Jan 26, 2008 Shared by Joebrew. A very refreshing gueuze, not as sour as some but very enjoyable. Barnyard, yeasty aroma. Cloudy appearance, but no visible sediment. Lots of carbonation. Sour flavor, but very smooth, and soft, fading palate. The kind of gueuze that is mild enough to drink all night.
