Bottle @ Paters Vaetje, Antwerpen. Hazy medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is sour, ripped fruit, lemon crispy. Flavor is moderate sweet and acidic with a long duration and a nice dry finish. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light astringent. Very nice and refreshing. ;o)) (300807)

Courtesy SoLan. Pours slightly hazy gold, with a medium, foamy, white head. Big, musty, sharp acidic aroma. Sour lemons and funk really make up the body of this aroma. The flavor is big on the funk, definitely sour, but not extremely sharp or acidic. definitely didnt pucker the cheeks by any means. more of a musty sourness. tasted like it had some age to it. Nice gueze, heavy nd rich.

Orange mist and persistent billowy suds. Fleshy orange tartness on the nose with a background of musty barrelwood and horseblanket, and a big squeeze of freshly cut lemon. It’s impossible to sniff this without salivating. Silky sherbety fruit, tingling acidity and a balancing touch of bitterness drinking itself straight into my top 50. Very easy on the PH, and it’s no bad thing. A wickedly smooth, tangily fruity brew I could happily glug (and inhale) all evening.

Bottle @ Café Jos, Nijmegen. A clear bubbly creamy-ish head - a little dirty white. Aroma at first seems like a lot of strawberries, at closer inspection it is more cherries and raspberries. Very low carbonated. Not that sour at first, then it gains a little fruityness and lots of peppery bitterness. A little vinious as well.

Pours clear, golden color with a small white head. Dry, vinuous and champagney, horse blanket of wet wool. Flavor is also dry and funky with wet wool, barnyard, wood and musk. Light body, crisp carbonation. All of the things you want in a lambic!

375 ml bottle, via boboski maybe? Pours a clear dark gold body under a fluffy fizzy white head. Lots of active visible carbonation and some sticky lacing. The nose is a nice dry funky horseblanket with some lighter citrus and dusty yeast, just a little acidity. Flavor is full of musty dank cellar with a little cork and brett on the finish. Nice depth of flavor, yet still fairly approachable. Only slightly acidic with minimal tartness. Mouthfeel is dry with some oak tannins that suck the saliva from the cheeks. Nice fizzy efforvescent carbonation. Overall, quite nice. A solid effort. Ended up scoring one tick above the regular version, but I can’t really detect a whole lot of difference between the two.

375ml bottle. pours cloudy yellow golden with white head. nose is oaky, vinegar, lemon, and mildly funky. flavor is lemony, crisp, sharp, and pleasently bitter, but finishes with acidic harshness. a real solid gueze but there’s better. 3.7 750, 03 , great funky oaky buggy barrel aroma. Flavor is bit tame for the style , oaky vanilla and mild vinegar , dry woody notes. Tasty and sessionable/lacks big sourness but still very good. 4.0

Golden of color with a white head. A sour aroma with some notes of wheat and wet dog. A sour flavor with notes of wheat, no sweets.
