Pours a slightly hazy dark yellow. Smells a bit like feet. Sour with a bit of sweetness. Some fruity ness of not so ripe apples and berries. Some wood towards the end. Dry and sour finish.

Bottle. Dark golden with a big, white head. Sour aroma of apples, berries and citrus. Flavour offers the expected sourness along with citrus, apples and a fresh sweetness and a sparkling palate. I always enjoy this beer.

Pours a bright gold into a Tumbler. Fluffy bright white head quickly fills the glass and slowly recedes. Sour lemon and yeast aromas. Dry, tart and slight metallic. Full, sour with a lasting tart lemon finish. More fruity than cheesy.

Bottle. Best before 1/2025. Beer is clear light gold with an average-sized, diminishing but lasting, white, frothy head. Big lazy carbo bubbles.
The aroma is malty with light notes of toasted grain; Hoppy with trace note of herb; Yeasty with tart, heavy notes of barnyard, light note of straw; Light miscellaneous note of metal, white wine trartness/vinousness.
The flavor is moderately bitter/dry, lightly sweet, moderately-to-heavily sour/acidic with a longish, building lightly bitter finish. Metallic tang and tin can taste in the retros. Bittering in finish cleans up the swallow well. Makes it pretty drinkable.
The body is light, the texture is velvety and the carbonation is sparkling wine-like fizzy.
I want to go higher on my number, but the metallic characteristics are limiting. I will seek out another sample to see if it’s our bottle.

Bottle says BB 2025!! Pours sparkling with a copper-golden color and a white, fizzy, fairly full head; settles to a small bit with minimal lacing. Nose is quite ’funky’ with barnyard and wet hay and an acidic bite reminiscent of overripe sour cherries. Lighter notes of crisp wheat, light musty yeast, and a touch of wet wood. Flavor hits with expected sharpness of acidic flavors, overripe cherries and lemon but a earthy woody note takes over and dries the palate out. Wood seems to be cork and quite earthy and barnyard notes are fairly minimal for the style with some musty hay still. Palate is medium light, dry, quenching, and more than lively. Finishes quickly with a noticable dryness of lemon zest, woody notes lingering, and a slight floral bitterness. Very nice Gueuze but not quite to the level of the Girardin or Cuvee Rene. The acidity is a bit more sharp than the others and the finish is less appealing. But overall, very drinkable and enjoyable from an intriguing style.

375ml bottle. Slightly hazy orange body with a medium head. Complex sour vinegar, fruity aroma. Very well balanced flavor, fruity, sour, cellar note, apple, grapefruit and some sweet touch. Excellent geuze.
