Bottle: Clear light gold color, light white head and lacing. Smells of light hay, the dust that falls off a barn while you’re cleaning the rafters, a blue cheese left out on the coutner at night. Lightly charred pine and grapefruit peel. The flavor isn’t as tart as I’d like, but it’s a got a light buttery impact with a spritsy citric mouthfeel. Finishes primariliy with the wood taste. Decent gueuze.

Bottle from Ledgers; nose is slightly sour with some faro-like sweetness intermingled; slightly hazed gold with a small off-white head; flavor is tart with some horsebalnket in the finish.

Bottle. Golden with a small white head. Aromas are acidic and musty with brown sugar. Some cheesines and tart lemon. Flavours are dry, dusty and musty with grapefruit bitterness. Quite tart with a dry finish. Very nice.

Pours wtih a golden body topped by a thin head with some lacing. It’s sour and tart with a great horseblanket note. MMM...I love them gueuzes. Light bodied, crisp and smooth.

A new arrival at John’s in Iowa City. The body is rich gold with with a nice egg shell colored head. The smell is nice balsamic vinegar with some hay and old leather. There is also some delicious sour cherry smells coming from the glass. The taste has plenty of dry tart charcter with some sour cherries and grass. There is also a little bit of salty old leather. There is a bone dry finish to this one. Ineteresting, but not particularly refreshing.

Thanks to Goldtwins for this one...Sour and funky aroma comes out of the lightly golden colored brew. Medium palate with good amounts of carbonation. The taste is sour, and very funky.

Bottle. Amber beer with a nice white head. Tart aroma with some lemon. High carbonation. Lemony tart flavor with good earthiness. Good sweet/tart bal;ance.Medium body. Lingering lemony tartness that fades to an easrthy spice. Very good gueze. Just needs to get rid of some carbonation, but otherwise it’s great.

Bottle, 37,5 cl. Pale golden, clear, body with a big white head. Really gueuze. Sour aroma. Dry ending. A beer in good balance. Like this taste not so sour as Cantillon.
