Tart, acidic balsamic aroma with that special aroma I always refer to as chinese baby corn though no one else gets the reference. Body is a dirty brown/gold and holds a slowly diminishing white head that is both bubbly and creamy. Tart, chalky dry fore is followed by under ripe apple flavors anf finishing with a smooth balanced sweet and tart finish. Never very intense in either direction, but a very approachable geuze that would pair well with a wide range of foods. Stefano (1347), Esbjerg, Denmark

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 15, 2006 Cloudy dark-yellow body with a large white head. Acidic nose with apples and pineapples notes. Taste has medium-high level acidity (not a bad thing) with some hay and green apples flavours piercing through. Medium sourness. Not a very tasty gueuze. Had it side by side with a regular Boon Geuze and they were too different to even compare them. Good beer but there plenty of better gueuzes out there. This lambic ale poured with a huge white head that dissipated rather quickly. There is a sour barnyard aroma. This gueuze is neither sweet nor sour, as with most other examples of this style, but is somewhat bitter and citrus-like. The taste is not complex but, rather, straightforward and good.
