375ml. bottle. Lightly hazed golden color with a small white head that quickly dissipates. Nice funky barnyard aroma with notes of leather, wet hay and light citrus. Very dry and mildly tart flavor that was unfortunatley lacking in a lot of flavor. Some tart funkiness, but overall was just too dry for my liking. Very aggressive carbonation had the tiny bubbles clinging to my lips as I took a sip. Good, solid gueuze, but not one of the best I’ve tried.

Golden colour, thick bubbly white head. Citric, rubbery, woody nose with some hints of horseblanket and lemon. Only slight sour palate. Refreshing finish.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy haze of orange, dusty colour topped with a white soapy head. The aroma is mainly of wood - oak bark, as such - and then there is a wave of musty brett. Quite dry and has that wheaty character. Liberal funk but lacking in a true complexity. Carbonation is lively and prickly but this in some ways helps to mask the 8% alcohol. Earthy and woody mostly. Refreshing. BBF 26.01.2026 purchased at Streekproductencentrum in Halle, Belgium on May 11, 2006.

1993: Pour is hazed golden amber...appeared very still...smell is deliciously sour, funky, horseblanket...there is a slight citric flavor, but not much flavor at all...still and thin flavor...

(Bottle, best before 1/2025) Pours a lightly cloudy yellow body with a moderate white head. Tart aroma that opens up the nasal passages. Tart flavor with chardonnay and white grapes with a bit of a metallic edge; dry finish. Could certainly benefit with some additional aging.

tame but still funky gueuze, nice aroma of funk and overripe fruit...not overly sour but not overly boring either...enjoyable but too expensive.

This geuze pours a hazy orange gold color from a cork finished 375 ml bottle. Large sized white foamy head, with good long lasting lacing. Aroma is leather and must, sweet and sour with barnyard and horse blanket. A medium to full bodied geuze. Tart and funky flavors blended with barnyard and must. Some old books, apples, lemons and peaches. Despite all the funk, and this one is really funky, make no doubt about it, there is a nice malt backbone. Lively carbonation. A funky, tart and sout geuze, it is not as dry as the ‘regular’ geuze. Lots of stuff going on in this one. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is tart and funky.

Bottle. Hazy golden with a huge white head. Very refreshing and a very nice dryness. Citrus fruits and a slight earthyness. Also a slight bitterness. Very good.
