Color is beautiful, like an orange cloudy belgian witbier. light and sour, extrememly refreshing, but no realy discernable flavor overall. Thanks to Oakes and Beershine.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a healthy head. I think I’m getting some peach flavor, other than that as advertised: tart and dry. My first of the style and I’d love to revisit if not so expensive.

[Bottle] shared by milkmandan. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a dissipating, effervescent head. Aroma is apples, funky brett, and sweeter than I was expecting. Flavor is fizzy and oddly bitter, a touch of sourness and funk.

2003 bottle from oakes and beershine. Thanks!! Gold pour, cloudy. Tart aroma with some slight oxidation. Woody and fruity notes. Flavor is dry and tart as hell. A bit metallic.

4/25/2009: Geuze Mariage Parfait pours a dirty, golden color with a fair amount of sediment in it. This beer is dry and oaky with a black walnut flavor quality about it. It is also sour with a slight vinegar note. This kind of beer isn’t really my style, but I did enjoy this one and found it to be quite palatable.

Sample from bottle shared by sliffy at Dark Lord Day 2009. Thanks Dan! Rating #411 for this beer.

On tap @ the Map Room. At 8% abv, I thought this perhaps a shade too strong for a Gueuze, thereby compromising the style’s characteristic dryness. Color is a hazy golden/dirty green w/ a ring of white froth; aroma ha chickpeas, slightly metallic, horse blanket and some sweaty esters. Flavor is sweetish, sour and funky, ending w/ some nuts and Brie. Pretty nicely balanced, but not dry enough for my taste- there are better Gueuze’s out there, although this is tasty enough.

Bottle. Bit hazy deep golden body with a fluffy big white head. Very citric aroma with some vinegar notes as well as barnyard. Very sour and citric flavour with some unpleasant metallic notes. Medium bodied. Alcohol very well hidden.

Straw colored. Lemon juice aroma. Very tart flavor from the start to the finish. Very acidic. The finish is dry and dirty.....in the best way possible. Jeez, I effing love Gueuze.
