4/25/2009: Geuze Mariage Parfait pours a dirty, golden color with a fair amount of sediment in it. This beer is dry and oaky with a black walnut flavor quality about it. It is also sour with a slight vinegar note. This kind of beer isn’t really my style, but I did enjoy this one and found it to be quite palatable.

May 6, 2009 On tap @ the Map Room. At 8% abv, I thought this perhaps a shade too strong for a Gueuze, thereby compromising the style’s characteristic dryness. Color is a hazy golden/dirty green w/ a ring of white froth; aroma ha chickpeas, slightly metallic, horse blanket and some sweaty esters. Flavor is sweetish, sour and funky, ending w/ some nuts and Brie. Pretty nicely balanced, but not dry enough for my taste- there are better Gueuze’s out there, although this is tasty enough.

Apr 30, 2009 Bottle. Bit hazy deep golden body with a fluffy big white head. Very citric aroma with some vinegar notes as well as barnyard. Very sour and citric flavour with some unpleasant metallic notes. Medium bodied. Alcohol very well hidden.

Apr 28, 2009 Straw colored. Lemon juice aroma. Very tart flavor from the start to the finish. Very acidic. The finish is dry and dirty.....in the best way possible. Jeez, I effing love Gueuze.

Apr 26, 2009 Thanks to rustychiles for the share on this one. Aroma of vinegar and sweet sweet sourness. A nice barnyard funk of cheesiness and horse blanket. Goes down fairly smooth, yet not as complex as the regular geuze to me. Pretty descent, but rather straightforward and uninteresting.

Apr 26, 2009 Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is funk farm, horse blanket, sour, straw. Flavor is sour wheat funk farm lemon balanced. Good funky sour.

Pours light amber and slightly hazy. Huge white head that sinks into a thin layer.
Fruity aroma with a light hop finish.
A little sour taste with some tartness to it.

Apr 21, 2009 Opens with a pop. Pours out clear golden with lots of foam. Taste is tart and dry with some funk. Citirus and sour cider flavors are crisp and refreshing. Great Gueze.
