Mar 6, 2009 Pours a nice hazy yellowish orange with a sparkling white head. Aroma is lemon, funk, asprin, sour, acidic lambic goodness. Flavor is sour, funky, applejuice, astringent, acidic, asprin, garbage, touch of sweetness. Decent Gueuze.

Feb 25, 2009 offers a solid pour with full white fizxy head that last just as long as it should, beautiful look as the head offers the perfect event horizon to the beer through the glass, mild aroma that hits you as your bring the glass up for a sip, mild subtleties are the initial note as the aroma is so initial, but as you enjoy this drink more it just gets better with the warmth of the room. good stuff, and fun to drink

Feb 25, 2009 This is an incredibly refreshing brew and very food friendly. Geuze’s are hard to come by here so I have’nt tried many to compare but there’s almost no better accompaniment to pizza than this!

Feb 19, 2009 Looks like a Hoegaarden. First second of taste is OK, but the taste disappears very fast. A hint of nice bitterness,but not sour enough.

Feb 13, 2009 375ml bottle with a best by date of 02/2028. Nice golden color with an initially thick white head. It smells dusty, funk, must, and a bit of citrus candy. The taste is like a bit of sour lemon juice but the mouthfeel seems a little watery much like the other Boon Gueuze. Decent gueuze but I’d prefer a Cantillon for the same price.

Feb 10, 2009 I cannot believe it took me this long to rate Boon. Great dry and lightly sour stuff. The acidity makes this go rather nicely with food (though I am something of an anti-"beer with food" guy). Great mouthfeel, as it is carbonated just right. Any more carbonation and I think the overall effect of the sourness and acidity would be a little too much.

Feb 7, 2009 Tallahassee, Fl. - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Dark golden , slightly murky pour with a soft, foamy white head. Strong earthy scent with some barnyard and horseblanket aromas. Smells very "wild" and natural. Flavor is full bodied and full of sourness. Some sour grapefruit, vinegar, and some unrecognizable, yet delectable extreme sourness. Mouthfeel is dry and very crisp. Probably one of the best guezes I have had.

Feb 1, 2009 Pours gold into a tumbler. Bright white head with excellent retention leaves spot lacing. Grapefruit aromas. Sour and crisp upfront turning thin into a lasting grapefruit finish.
