Commercial Description:
Geuze, a mixture of old and young Lambic. The young Lambic is added to cause a refermentation in the bottle making for a delightfully sparkling and dry beer that has been likened, in all seriousness, to Champagne.

Slightly hazy, orange color with quite big and big bubbly, cloudy white head. Pours with big head but it vanishes to medium which stays long. Aroma is sour, fruity, yeasty with vanilla. Flavor is sour, dry, fruity and acidic. Palate is carbonated and sticky.

Not to put it down but just not my style. Pretty smooth for a lambic. Get sweet apple in this.

At Stone Brewing class on sour ales, taught by Tomme Arthur of Port/Lost Abbey. Very strong but strength wanes quickly. Musty, dank notes; lost of dirt from age. Aroma of brett and apricot. Very funky taste with a slightly odd aftertaste. I’m not a big fan...

Large, cloudy and foaming head with some bigger bubbles. Hazy orange liquid. Sour berries, fruits and a hint of wheat in the aroma. Sour flavor of fermented fruits. Especially the long finish has lots of this fruity sourness. Sparkling texture with a medium body. This geuze is the easiest to drink of those that I´ve had. This could have been more complex, but anyway this is a great summer beer.

Pours hazy bright dark orange. Bubbly offwhite head. Aroma like tart cantelope and champagne. Flavor very tart dry grapefruit. Wife thought she was drinking champagne as it does taste that close.

355 ml bottle, best before 25/04/2027, does not have ’oude’ on the label- forceful champagne like carbonation behind the cork, has a very full and funky aroma, lemony and acidic, half-rotted hay, a touch of wet leather. Taste is grapefruit pith, citric acid, oak cask,a little remaining body exits leaving behind nothing but dry dry dry. I love gueuze.
