Commercial Description:
Geuze, a mixture of old and young Lambic. The young Lambic is added to cause a refermentation in the bottle making for a delightfully sparkling and dry beer that has been likened, in all seriousness, to Champagne.

Thanks to Nate for sharing. Cloudy orange-ish gold with a strong, foamy, soapy white head. Incredibly funky in the nose, with citric, farmhouse, honey, jasmine, stinky cheese, brett, oak, apple and bread notes. What a perfect aroma.. I could sniff this forever!! The taste is hugely sour and acidic with some really fantastic funk. I’s like biting into a fresh lemon! Notes of orange, honey, wild yeasties, grape, herbs and pears. The finish is bone dry with a big, long, mineral-like brett aftertaste that lingers on the tongue for days. Beautiful.

From bottle. Great funky oaky nose. Lactic and light dry hops. So sour and funky; wonderful nose. I can’t stop inhaling this stuff. Vinegar and honey. Cloudy pale butterscotch amber with foamy-wispy off-white lacing head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation and acidic burn. Starts very tart with lemon and lactic acid, mild vinegar. Grainy wheat, bitter lemon peel and dry hops. Oaky notes, a bit of broth. Sour finish with acidic burn and dry powdery oaky after. Great stuff.

Pours hazy dark orange with white head. Strong funky barnyard aroma. Slightly sour, woody flavor with some citrus and earthiness. Light to medium body, average carbonation and a dry finish.

The cork popped on this beauty with very little coaxing. Pour was a hazy golden orange, with a monster foamy white head that stuck around troughout the glass. Aroma of apples and wet hay, lots of funk. Sour apple flavor, with a light, highly carbonated body. Very dry finish. Good.

355 ml bottle purchased at Zipps in Minneapolis, MN. Best before 06.08.2027. Pour is golden yellow, very cloudy, with a big rocky white head. Nice lacing left behind as the head falls. Aroma of orange juice citrus, and barnyard funkiness in all of its glory. Taste is tart and sour, earthy and funky. There is quite a bit of carbonation. Very dry. I had this with food (steak) and it worked really well. The carbonation and dryness of this one might be a bit much by itself. Not the most complex Geuze I have had, but a nice one.

Aroma: Barnyard jumps out of the glass, very nice. Sawdust and hay notes pervade. Appearance: Nice big white head that lasts upon pouring, clear. Blond. Flavor: Extremely sour, good barnyard notes. Tastes like it should, but not as complex like a Giradin. Palate: Sour, good carbonation with an almost salty sensation. Overall Impression: Good solid gueze.

A somewhat subdued but still delicious gueuze courtesy mcbackus. Aroma was out of this world. So musty it felt like you could cut the aroma with a knife. Strong funk and barnyard also. Pour was a nice hazy gold with a one finger white head. Taste was a little thin. Cheese, funk and wet blanket with an underlying vinegar backbone. Not as sour as most gueuze and not much aftertaste. Strong biting carbonation. Great beer.
