Pours a hazy deep golden orange colour with a fast diappearing head. Mouldy, sour, fruity and woody aroma. The flavour is tart with a nice not so typical lambiek sourness, good bitterness, some ripe fruits, staple, citrus and some wood. A rather "mild" lambiek. beastiefan2k (1603), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Personal "New Years Night of 1000 Gueuzes" continued with this best before 2/12/2025, so almost 3 years old, 375mL cork and wire bottle. The color is more orange than golden (more so than the gueuzes before it) and hazy. Aroma is light vinegar with some barnyard and faint sweet rubber. Taste is light on sour and acidity for an Oude Gueuze, and actually a bit sweeter than most gueuzes. This seems to take away from the dryness. Also seems to add to a bit of slickness in the mouthfeel, which has a lightly spiky feel. Least interesting and complex of the Oude Gueuzes so far. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA

The aroma is a little musty with some light fruits present. Flavor is starts off wheaty with some mild green apple and a musty finish. A very mild tartness. hiddenvariable (194), pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 1, 2008 bottle. pours a hazy honey with a thick white head that fades pretty quickly, but leaves a bunch of chunky lacing. sharp lemon and orange citrus smell, with a bit of funk. more of that citrus in the taste, combined with some grape, a bit of spice, and a bit more funk. good sour dry finish with a medium body, a lot of carbonation, and an aciding, thin, filmy mouthfeel. a decent gueuze. though i’ve had better, i certainly wouldn’t turn this down. this is quickly becoming one of my favorite styles. that’s weird to say for a big-beer/hophead like me. Aroma and taste of nothing but sour fruit. I’ll take a kick to the groin any day just to avoid this beer. Not fond of lambic/geuze. hopdog (5602), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
