I have tried several lambics and generally have liked them, but had not yet sampled a geuze. I saw this one at Whole Foods Market and decided to give it a shot. The cork flies out of the bottle similar to champagne. Lively pour with a dull gold body and a large white head with decent lacing. Sour, kind of funky aroma that was not pleasant, but not entirely unpleasant either. The flavor did nothing for me; sour (which I normally like), but also salty (which I do not like). There was also a weird taste that I could not put my finger on and can best describe as wet dog. I did not detect any fruit flavors. SInce this beer has a decent overall rating, I’m assuming geuze is not a style I care for, although I am glad I tried it for the experince. jonno (603), Brisbane, Australia
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 9, 2007 Really not my style. Give me champagne or give me beer. Don’t give me both. Pours with a beautiful head, but the tartness and light bitterness really don’t do it for me. Not terrible though, just not my cup of tea JK (2966), Richfield, Minnesota, USA

Amber colored and a moderate head. Sour flavor, but not sour enough. Light acid, some citrus, and lots of yeast. Very nice. rmussman (906), California, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 2, 2007 Hmm what a disappointment. So i have had a few of teh Lindemans Lambic Fruits, but this was horrid. Aroma was pungent. Appearance was like that of a cheap pilsner. Mouthfeel was very very sour. Flavor was harsh and not enjoyable. 8 bucks for hell. Only thing good was to get another style on my list. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 17/20 | Mar 1, 2007 Pours a clear pilsner-like golden color with a nice light tan head. Nice tart nose of green apple and cherry. Nice tart earthy flavor, but its a slightly watery mouthfeel. There is a slight metalllic feel to it, but it is still good. Great nose and upfront tart flavor, but the finish is somewhat lacking. BDR (2168), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

Golden in colour topped with a thin foamy head. Yeasty champagne aroma with notes of cork and barn. Taste of pickled oranges (if ever there were such a thing), lemon, lime and cork. Doh! Short, salty dry finish. Slightly bitter with an acidic citrus edge. A good beginner gueuze. Shara hated it, but I thought it was ok.
