Commercial Description:
Geuze, a mixture of old and young Lambic. The young Lambic is added to cause a refermentation in the bottle making for a delightfully sparkling and dry beer that has been likened, in all seriousness, to Champagne.

Aroma of apple. Apperance is amber with a smalla white head. The flavor is souer, sweet and dry with hints of apple tart. A nice and drinkable geuze.

Pours a hazy golden straw with a nice white head. Strong yeast aroma, very champagne like, some Brett. Taste is sweet at first then a strong tart flavor comes along. This has a lot of malt and very light old hop bitterness, and a strong Brett character. Good carbonation and body. A nice brew.

’05 Bottle from the First Annual Sour Tasting, thanks to andrew. Pours a clear copper orange with a creamy bobbled off white head that laces down in spots. Somewhat stinky cheesy sweet aroma of phenols and chemicals. Citrus earthy flavors with tannins and funk. Long earthy bitter finish with the tannins and earthy hops. Odd and not enjoyable.

A bottle 0.375L from Alko shop. Nice pale head. Mild appley nose. Hazy pale orange/yellow colour. Some grapefruit in the taste. Hoppy bitterness. Some hints of apricot in the taste.

hazy golden pour with slight head. aroma is brett with some tart lemon citrus. Flavor reflects this, carbonation is perfect, a little agitated but nice and crisp. great palate. Flavor is funky and dry, lemon and brett. some white wine notes and oakiness. Nice, simple and refreshing. a nice pure example of the style

Pours a hazy golden tan with a minimal bubbly head. Aroma is very funky, with some tart citrus, and seems to be quite dry. Flavor is quite sharp again with the citrus, and the sparkly carbonation fades to an incredibly dry finish. Not an incredible lambic, but I really like the mouthfeel- markedly above average brew.

Presentation: It was poured from a green corked and caged 335ml bottle into a tulip glass. There is a best before date of 25-04-2027 on the bottle. Appearance: The body has a hazy golden orange color with lots of beautiful Champaign like carbonation. On top there is a lively, big, fluffy head with a creamy off white color. It fades slowly but hangs on to a thin covering that make some slick lacing on the glass. Smell: The aroma is interesting and complex. In the nose there is notes of apples, apple cider vinegar, light oak notes, wet wool and rose petals. Taste/Mouth Feel: Its flavor is just as complex as the aroma. There is a little bit of astringent citrus with hard apple cider notes that give it a nice sharp sour character. Also there are some floral notes, dry hay and light woody oak notes and next to no hops. The finish has a sharp dry sour oak finish. The body is about medium with lively mouth feel and lively active carbonation. Notes: Outstanding, a very good example of the style.

Bottle during the first annual Chicago Sour Tasting. Vintage ’05 thanks to Andrew. Clear amber/orange with small, creamy white head. Sweet, stinky, barnyard aroma. Sweeter grain flavor with barnyard, cheesey, soda, meh. Light and slightly watery body. Not as good as many other geuzes.
