Sep 3, 2005 Slightly hazy yellow-orange amber. Wet hay, horseblanket, and musty timber aromatics. Husky astringency with a puckering tartness. Fruit peel dryness. Some wood tannin and a certain dustiness in the finish. Mouthfeel is light and rather dry.

Aug 27, 2005 The aroma of this beer is exceptional: the typical geuze smell, without any hints of artificial chemicals. The flavour has the sweetness excepted from this type of beer, but has just enough some underlying sourness which becomes more prominent in the finish. Good for hot summer days.

Aug 16, 2005 my first gueuze. cork pops out of bottle. pours a nice lively orangish golden color. white head. aroma isnt real inviting, but interesting nonetheless. when colder has a champagne quality, but as it warms becomes more and more sour. at times the sourness is reminicent of tart apple, but other times, it is a very new sensation. not sure where this stands relative to other guezes, but i guess ill just have to try more. i liked it. definately not a typical beer.

Aug 6, 2005 Hazy orange colour with a small white head. Yeasty and fruity aroma with hints of dust. Yeasty and light sour flavor with some fruit. Fairly dry finish.

Jul 30, 2005 $5.99 for a 355 ml bottle at Tiffany’s in Kalamazoo. Golden yellow color with a thin white head. Upon closer inspection there seems to be some particles suspended in the brew. Aroma is an oliy cherry wheatish...but not in a good way. Something with this, smells a little metalic and turned. There isnt much of an acidic aroma, and really not one in the flavor. This just tastes like an old beer with a hint of lambic bitterness. Don’t think I’m gonna finish this one.

Jul 25, 2005 Bottled. Hazy golden colour, with a fine white head. Very fresh an delicious nose, with grapes, fruits and acidic notes. Sour but soft flavor, still with lots of grapes. Finishes with a soft bitterness.

Jul 23, 2005 Updated: Oct 30, 2007(Bottle 37,5 cl) Comes as "Geuze Boon" at 6% ABV. Beautiful, fully golden beer albeit very hazy. Marvellous almost exotic nose - sherry perhaps - but also very acidic notes. The acidity continuous in the flavours, but this is far from the extreme sourness found in other traditional gueuzes. Wonderfully aromatic with some metallic notes. Well-conditioned - good one. 060200 and 110700
