Light copper-gold with some darker maize hues. Relatively small white head for the style. Aroma is lightly tannic and tart, but has a sharper flavor, like a mix of soda water and lemon juice. Bitter almost, perhaps white vinegar comes to mind. Flavor is tart, solid medium to medium-full body, texture is coarse, sharp almost. Seems very young, though it is not syrupy or too sweet, just very rough. Little complexity to be found, just a solid yeast tartness. Light pinot grigio notes on the finish. Mild sour and tart aroma (for a gueuze). Mild sourness with a dry finish. Does not have the bite of a great gueuze, but still a descent beer. jollyraider (252), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 1, 2005 Hey, this is rated pretty low. But it’s my first actual lambic, and from the cork popping off on its own to the last tangy drop, I really enjoyed it. Very funky, tart, lively. Maybe the bottle’s age helped. I look forward to more lambic adventures. hammenlind (738), Sundbyberg, Sweden

Cloudy golden with a fizzy, rich head. This geuze seemed very mature and rounded in mouthfeel, with notes of wood and gooseberry. Dry and tart but not overly. Very pleasant and quaffable. Earlier Rating: 3/28/2004 Total Score: 2.9 Bottled.
Earthy aroma. Harsh bitterness. Long dry finish. Geuze is not my thing - yet! aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 14, 2005 Another Gueuze with training wheels. Nice and overly clean with a very soft acidity. Wheat malt is overlt prominent with some citrus acid and mild fruit. Good for A Gueuze newby but just soso for the diehard fanatic. Bockyhorsey (2541), Mesa, Arizona, USA
