| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 4, 2005 Rich golden hue topped by a lasting fizzy head and good lace. The aroma is quite tradional with a lot of funk and barnyard notes, a hint of french oak, and a touch of grape and sour apple. The taste starts twangy with minor citric notes and a drop of balsamic vinegar. Undertones of flowers and heather finishing with a dry woody tannic snap and that yeast powered chesse quality. The feel is fizzy and refreshing. Well, then many thanks to Joe for the bottle. JensenTaster (1588), Denmark
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Apr 3, 2005 (on bottle) Hazy orange, very fruity nose, allmost like bnbons. Pickling fresh, loads of sourness, but the sticky sweetness stays around. Would be good for a hot afternoon or as a menu starter. Had it on a smoked bar, and that diden´t make the experience that great. mixamatt (427), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 28, 2005 Cidery tart aroma. Huge head with a sparkling orange appearance. Sour tart mellowed grapefruit apple flavor that is far more toned down than Cantillion products. Dry sour finish. asheft (1483), Marburg, Germany
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 27, 2005 [best before Nov. 2, 2022]
Hazy, brownish amber with tons of rocky foam of largish bubbles that disappears after a couple minutes to a patchy, thick cover and diffuse lacing. Aroma is woody, black cherry; dry and a little bit sour, with a hint of horseblanket. Flavour is a bit weak, compared to the aroma: dry woody/winey white cranberry juice. Bitterness significant and does not seem to be from hops--it’s very oaky. Very light and very carbonated. Very refreshing. presario (3010), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 20, 2005 Bottle. Best before 2/11/2022. Golden dark apple juice colour. Very big bubbly head. Sour apple juice aroma. Dry, sour and slightly salty. Apple flavour up front. Not a lot of other distinguishable flavours. Reminds me of a palate cleansing sorbet. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 18, 2005 Bottled. Pours a clear orange color with a huge, frothy white head. Aroma is horse blanket and lemon. Flavor is just what I expect from a gueuze. Why is this so poorly rated? This is damn good! Nice and sour, barnyard flavors with a bit of spice. Citrus aftertaste. mustang3 (254), Whitby, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 11, 2005 Hazy orange/gold in colour and a small white head with a never say die attitude. Aroma is very tart with a funky barnyard smell as well as ctirus. The flavour has some appley flavour but the dominant flavour especially on the finish is acidic citrus.
