Commercial Description:
Geuze, a mixture of old and young Lambic. The young Lambic is added to cause a refermentation in the bottle making for a delightfully sparkling and dry beer that has been likened, in all seriousness, to Champagne.

Hazy light copper color with a tall cream colored head. Barnyard, cobwebs, light cider vinegar, light grape and sweet malt underneath. Light and lively feel. Simple, yes; well made, yes; but all the qualities of one would look for in a decent guezue. Rhubarb tartness with a long and lasting malt background.

Not the freshest aroma. Cloudy, pours almost like a cider would. Very dry and crisp. Not bad, but not great.

Cloudy, old gold colour with a big off-white head. Aroma is sour, fresh and barnyardy. Taste is nicely sour, not as vinegary as some geuze. Quite highly carbonated and dry. It is not like champagne; champagne is crap over rated french wine, this is a nice lambic. Best Geuze I’ve tried to date.

Hazy yellow, small head. Aroma from sour dough and citrus. Citrus shows immediately in the flavor together with yeast and some vinous notes.

Funk--o-licious. Big springtime barnyard aroma, musty. This bubbling golden brew is sweet, citrus frutis and tart upfront and becomes dusty, musty and dry in the finish with a lingering funk.

Bottle in Clockwork Brewery, Glasgow. Yellow/orange, not much head. Aroma of lemon/orange/peach/mild farmyard/oak. Much sweeter in taste than the Cantillon we had alongside, but refreshing and tart nonetheless. Acidic oaky finish.

Very tart, sour aroma, lots of lemon, salt. Body is a light amber with orange, very thin bubbly head lasts. Mouthfeel is too bubbly. Taste is watery and sour, one sided. I like it, but compared to the others I’ve had it doesn’t compare.

Golden color, pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is fruity and tart, almost like a slightly sour dry white wine. It does have leathery and funky character. Flavor is moderately acidic. Finish is fruity up front and fairly dry on the tail end.
