Sampled at Stone’s Sour Festival, July 2007 Poured a hazy red with a pinkish thin head. Aroma is sour cherry, just as you’d expect from a real kriek. Tart and sour with some interesting funk. Very drinkable.

Bottle at spontanous weekend. Aroma is straight up grassy fresh lambic funk noteable tart berry character, minimal cherry. Taste is pluckering, not too sour, more tart lambic funk, again slight hints at cherrys. A good drinkable kriek. Rerate: Whole bottle at home. has been settling for a good while now, gloreous dark rd, crystal clear colour, with pink head. Aroma is apple lambic funk, yea ha, amazing notable sweeter cherry hints. Taste is funky and the cherry sneaks up on you in the finish and is so intence id think it was slightly sweetened. But its not and its amazing and i want to sit with my french cheese and bacon and onion bread and go mmmmmmmmmm.

poured into champagne glass... ok, as I was told 75% of this is aged 3 plus beers, then they blend it to a young blend, so a three year old mixed with a 1 year old, then they ferment it again with fruit... ok, I respect the process.. pours a clear dark red with spritzy pink head.. sweet mostly sour aroma... fruity tinge.. sour on the taste, thicker than the look, flat on the finish.. this Lambeec(julie) is more traditional, defintly a flat sour taste but fruit cherries is prevalent...

Bottle courtesy of aspidites at the Sacramento Beer and Brew Fest. Aroma was lightly acidic, sour cherries, vinegary, light funk with some subtle wood notes floating about. Appearance was reddish/pink in color, bubbly with a thin pink bubbly head. Flavor was fruity, almost candy like. It reminded me of a sour cherry candy I had when I was kid called Cherry Chan’s. Almost like a cherry version of a Lemonhead. Anyways, fruity taste, vinegary, and light funk. A good beer.

Bottle, 375ml corked. Copper-golden body, not completely free of sediments, with a nice off-white head. Cellar, cherries and sourness in the aroma. Would like more cherries though. Cherries and cellar and a little citrusy sourness in the flavor. A bit thin body. Cellary finish with almond and cherry. I was actually a bit disappointed with this one. It’s not bad, just the kind of beer that fits thirteen on a dozen. If that is possible with lambics... Rating: 7-4-7-3-14-3.5. (070526)

Bottle, 37,5cl thx to Maria. It pours a goldenish red body with an off-white head. Quite hazy. Barnyardish, slightly lemony aroma with berries and horseblanket. Citric, cherryish flavor with redcurrant and a little sweetness, far from enough sweetness to make it balanced. Luckily. Astringent in the mouth, teeth- and palate-cleansing, and a sour finish with some berry flavors. Quite lovely one, and giving a better impression than last time. (080412)

(Bottle 37,5 cl) Courtesy of Grovlam. Vintage 2004. Pours a very pretty, hazy reddish with a small, pinkish head. Very sour aroma where the cherries are barely felt. Medium body with very dry notes of cherry but not really overly sour. There’s a vague fusty edge. Nice one. 290607
