Nose is sour cherries, light sweat, barnyard, and gym socks. Taste is sour cherry, leather, barnyard, wet wood, cherry cough syrup and damp basement. Light sweetness to this. Body is tart and acidic with a pleasant dryness to it. Finishes with sour cherries, some sweetness, light barnayrd and a bit of earthiness. Belgo (145), Køge, Denmark
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 2, 2006 375 ml. bottle. Pours a dark cherry red with a nice lasting pink head. Aromas of sweet cherries explode from the glass along with almonds and brett aromas from the lambic. On the palate the sourness is definately there, but there is also a nice sweetness from the fruity taste, not from residual sugar. Finishes of dry and well balanced with a nice soft cherry flavour before it ends with a snap of sourness. Very good. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 27, 2006 Pours a cherry red color with a thick pink head. Sour cherry aroma with hints of straw and other barn like things. The sour cherry flavor sits on top of a fascinatingly funky drink. Hints of funky metal and hay keep this from being a sweet sugary alcopop. A solid lambic. Bov (5478), Bienne, Switzerland
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 23, 2006 dark reddish colour with a rocky stable beige head; aroma of hay and cheese, crisp cherryish notes are coming through while the beer gets warmer; initially smooth but soon comes a solid acidity; medium-bodied, long acidic, dry and cheese-ish finish - a beautiful kriek and a perfect beer to celebrate the victory of Russia over Canada ! schuimkroaat (395), Leuven, Belgium
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jan 29, 2006 37.5 cl bottle, crop 2003. Murky, ruby red with a metallic shine in backlight. Abundant, frothy pink head with no particular stability but a beautiful lace. Acidic, woody and barnyard aroma of lambic made up with some oily and spicy notes and nicely complemented with generous fruit. A tart taste, but not overpoweringly acidic; it rather bursts with fruit and juiciness, although it’s more difficult to ascribe this fruitiness to cherries than in its little brother without the ‘oude’ attribute (peculiar, since the ‘big boy’ is made with one and a half as much fruit!). A light grainy background and a very lemony aftertaste. An incredibly oily, viscous texture; amazingly sparkling on the tongue. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 8, 2006 Bottle: Deep cherry red, large light pink head, foamy, quite nice lacing. Sweetened tart nose, subtle cherry and oak. Smells delicious. Soft tart flavor, fades quickly, underlying oak and sour cherries. Light to moderate body and mouthfeel. Slight drying on the finish, lingering cherry pit. Soft, subtle, and quite tasty. Only wished it was a big more agressive on the tongue.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 29, 2005 375 mL bottle, lambic flute. Enormous and well lasting head is frothy and an ever so light shade of pink. Foamy sheet lacing is left behind. Deep raspberry hue is contained within slightly browned edges and livened by bubbly carbonation. The aroma is mild in tenor, bringing forth tart cherries, hay, some barnyard funk, dry grass, soap and the slightest hint of cardboard. No one element seems to dominate any other. In the flavor, all traces of cardboard and soap have completely vanished, thankfully. Balanced moderate sweetness and acidity throughout. The sweetness comes way of a cherry sensation and the acidity has a crisp lime-like zest. Medium body with a creamy texture and fizzy carbonation. Veer (355), Landskrona, Sweden
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 6, 2005 Aroma: Vanilla, red currants, slightly sour, unripe cherries, chemical.
Red w/ pink head, an even cloudiness.
The taste seems very balanced w/ exceptions. Bitter, a bit sour, almost dry.
Sparkling, vinous, malty after-sweetness, rich but thin.
Hay tones.
