| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 14, 2008 (Bottle, 2004 harvest, Akkurat, Stockholm, 13 June 2008) Deep red colour with brief, pink head. Tart, fruity nose with cherries, almond and hints of horse stable. Tart, fruity taste with notes of cherries and almonds. Dry and very balanced. Perhaps nots as complex as some of the other traditional krieks, but slightly fruitier. Still, very nice beer. faroeviking (6128), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 14, 2008 Bottle. Vintage 2003. Pours a nice deep red colour with a fizzy short lasting reddish head. Nice cherry mouldy tart aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has a good sourness, plenty of cherries, wood and a comfortable sweetness. Sour cherry finish. Nice! | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 10, 2008 Deep dark pink with a huge light pink head. Aroma has quite a bit of depth, mainly dominated by cherry, but also has lambic character (horseblanket, funk.) Really like Boon’s style here, especially the concentrated fruit character. It’s loaded with lots of taste. I think I prefer this over most other Krieks. Boutip (2402), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 9, 2008 Bottle courtesy Beerlando: Poured a deep red color ale with a large foamy head with good retention but minimal lacing. Aroma of funky barnyard taste with some notes of sour cherries. Taste is a mix between some deep sour cherries with some tart notes and some funky barnyard notes as well. Oak was also noticeable but quiet subtle considering the amount of cherries in here. Full body with limited filtration and good carbonation. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 3, 2008 Bottle. Dated 12.12 on the back. Light cherry tartness with a requisite amount of rubbery and stinky funk on the nose. Pours a dark, rich ruby with a thin whiteish pink head. Slightly acidic and tart on the tongue with just a touch of residual cherry sugar. Medium body with prickly carbonation leading to a rather dirty and funky finish. Decent. ¾ (5009), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 3, 2008 Moderately sweet syrupy cherry flavor, a bit candy-like but it has a good amount of subtle tartness and a mild acidity. Thick and vinuous, fresh, but not loud. Color is rich dark ruby red. Rciesla (3880), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
