DYCSoccer17 (2009), Davis, California, USA Mar 8, 2005 Grainy light malty faint aroma. Transparent blonde color with a nice white head. Wow-grainy to start turning lactic, acidic, and quite bitter. Dry finish. Medicinal and unpleasant. muzzlehatch (4425), Burlington, Vermont, USA Feb 8, 2003 A BEERLOVER'S APOCALYPSE, PART 1: BLONDE BLANDNESS
So I live in Vermont, and I'm all done with the local stuff; might be a couple of bps an hour or two away that might have one or two beers each I haven't tried, but that's about it. Bright, sunny, warm (for Feb) day; why not go around the lake to Plattsburgh, where there's a bp I haven't tried, and isn't even entered in the Ratebeer database (bad sign #1). Just a short 90 minutes, and I'm there. It's in a Comfort Inn (sign #2), and it's not very busy at all at 6pm on a Saturday night (uh-oh). The horror begins...
The blonde is bland all around; it has a light cookie aroma, perhaps in keeping with what most of the diners here are probably accustomed to snacking on, a slight but present body, virtually no hops, at least its marginally "fresh".
