Commercial Description:
Named after its golden color and effervescence, the complex yet smooth tast of Golden Chaos lives up to its name! Golden Chaos is a Belgian style golden ale made from fresh imported German and English hops, brewed using the finest American rock candy, giving this fine ale a fruity aroma taste that leads to a surprisingly dry finish. The subtle notes of plum, apricot, and pear achieve a perfect balance of fruitiness, spiciness, and hoppiness.

Appearance: Pours a burnt orange with no head. The body is very cloudy. Aroma: Fruit cocktail and bubble gum. Taste: Fruity yeast, vegatle green hops and spice, spicy hops and clove. Mouthfeel: Fizzy and medium bodied. Overall: A very tasty, sweet Belgian ale.

Bottle, poured into belgian style snifer glass. Rather fruity aroma, the appearance is VERY cloudy, not so much golden as the name depicts, more like a light brown. The flavor is nice and has a fair balance of sweet and spice. It reminds me of one of the Stone Vertical Epics, maybe the 080808, but not as good. This is my first Bootlegger beer, and they are not too far from me so I may need to pay a visit at some point.

From the Jug at the GABF Colorado Convention Center, Denver 09/10/2008 Floral aroma. Golden coloured and sweet on the palate with a little dryness in a crisp and bitter lasting finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours with a small tan head over a hazed golden body. Aroma of banana esters and candi sugar. Taste is pear, apricot, dry and estery with candi sugar. Dry mouthfeel and light bubbles.

On tap at the brewery, it pours dark gold color with a foamy white head. The aroma is of candy sugar. The flavor isn’t anything special or anything bad, just a middle of the road belgian.

On tap at brewery. Pours gold with a nice sized white head. Aroma is sweet orange fruit, plenty of candi sugar, and some yeasty notes. Unlike Plum Riot, this beer hits you with immediate sweetness. Its buttery, caramelly, sugary, and candy like all at once. For me though, this detracted from the interest of this brew. The finish is medium in length, allowing a bit of alcohol bitterness to push through.

Golden with a fluffy white head. Mild fruit grain and Belgian yeast aroma and taste. Pretty basic but decent.

750ml bottle, 11th rating for this beer. Hazy brown/orange with a white head. Aroma is sweet, yeasty, bready, very belgianesque. Sweet, caramally, lots of sweet light fruits, apples perhaps. Very interesting, but not my thing.
