Aroam of wood, bourbon, dough, alcohol with not much sour or funk. Flavor was great; cookie dough, bread, fruit with some sour notes. A dry finish. This one was a great surprise. Aroma of bourbon, oak, tartness and brett. Taste is wood, vanilla, brown sugar and a light funk. Light bubbles. Not bad, would like to try more. elihapa (1072), Honolulu, California, USA

For a neighborhood brewery, making a “wild” ale is a step in the progressive direction. Pours gold with a small head. Aroma is of funk, dried citrus fruit, and acidity. Flavor starts off funky yet sweet, then moves towards wood, funk-tartness and hay. Solid offering with enough variety in flavor to keep it interesting. JohnC (2288), Mission Viejo, California, USA

The bourbon barrel imparted some vanilla and some sourness on the beer. Interesting experiment, but for the time spent in the barrel, I’d hope for more complexity.
